CNPV took part in the CIPEE, China International Petroleum Equipment & Technology Exhibition 2008 from Dec 12-15^th. As the sole exhibitor in SPV industry, CNPV was the focus of this exhibition. Companies took part in this exhibition of petroleum equipment came to CNPV’s stand for further information about cathodic protection to petroleum pipeline and discussed the cooperation. Photovoltaic system, which is used in the power supply of the petroleum pipeline cathodic protection, prolongs the longevity of the petroleum pipeline, and gives an extensive market for cooperation of SPV industry and Petroleum Equipments & Technology.

Photovoltaic system which used in the power supply which preserves the oil pipeline cathode prolongs the longevity of the oil pipeline. Cathode preservation is a kind of preservation technique of electrochemistry. The basic principle is to apply direct current to the surface of the target metal, and make it polarized. When the potential of the metal is under some value, the dissolution process of corrosion of the anticathode will be well restrained. The expenditure of preservations is only 1-5% of the cost of the target metal construction. However, the longevity of the construction is prolonged for even tens of times. Thus, this technique is more and more widely accepted and applied in the areas of ship, harbor establishment, ocean project, petrifaction electricity and civicism, and have a bright future.
